Who We Are

Ferns photoEvergreen Consulting Associates is an informal network of consultants from around the country who work together on selected projects. Founder John Watson started independent consulting work in 2000 after a diverse career that included positions as Business Development Director for eCollege, editor of an endangered species journal, environmental educator, and fisheries biologist. He holds a BA in Biology from Middlebury College, and a Masters in Natural Resources and MBA from the University of Michigan. He is on the board of Colorado Wild, a statewide environmental organization working on public lands issues in the Colorado high country, and is a member of the Greenhouse Network, a group of speakers around the country who give presentations on climate change.

Sunnywood Designs is a web site development and programming firm specializing in the fields of environmentally responsive design and technology. Sunnywood also provides high quality web design services to small businesses and individuals within our community in Tompkins County, New York. The company is the collaborative work of Eric and Elizabeth Woods, whose expertise includes web development, graphic design, programming, interactive media, and project management. Knowledge-Base, LLC, provides strategy, integration and transformation services to old and new economy companies and institutions through the artful synthesis of knowledge, technology, and learning. Founder Gordon Freedman’s relationships and clients include Prometheus Courseware Platform (George Washington University), the California Academy of Sciences, Chronicle of Higher Education, PBS, Britannica, the National Science Foundation, ten of the nation's largest universities, and several museums and aquariums.
